Electronic Carbide, Inc. (ECI) is a family owned precision manufacturing machine shop that was opened in Nevada County in 1978. We qualify as a woman owned business and are ISO compliant and ITAR registered. For over 40 years we have worked with clients to develop innovative solutions to modern manufacturing needs, including conversion from manual to computerized (CNC) machining, expansion of drafting and programming services, and refinement of inspection requirements. The majority of our work is focused on precision machining using CNC mills and lathes, as well as wire EDMs, and our client base is primarily larger companies located throughout California.
ECI employs over 25 people, ranging from administrative staff to journey-men machinists. We are proud to say that all of our employees are
long-term, with an average of over 15 years employed at ECI with 18 years of experience. In January 2006 ECI constructed a custom 18,000 square foot building to be home to all of our operations,
located at 13005 Loma Rica Drive in Grass Valley across from the Nevada County Airport.
